I am Juliana Monono, an International Student from Cameroon, Central Africa. I am in the on-campus MPH Epidemiology program at UNMC, College of Public Health. My passion for Public Health stems from seeing people in my life like my father, uncle be public health leaders in Cameroon as the world around us continues to evolve. My research interests include Ticks and Tick-borne diseases, behavioral health, and more recently One Health related topics. Being active participants in our health and wellbeing is a passion I am able to take action towards through my work in the Fauver lab as we seek to understand and prevent the spread of tick-borne diseases. I work as a part of project funded through CS-CASH to better understand the knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of ticks and tick-borne diseases in Plains’ states.
